We all have special gifts, but do we use those talents to help others?
Turn your passion into your purpose. Are you a Fashionista? Open a boutique and offer classes that teach young ladies how to dress to impress. How are your graphic arts skills? Can you make flyers and brochures for your favorite non-profit organization? Do you love to cook? You can show single moms how to prepare healthy meals on a budget. The list of what you can do is endless.
Use your expertise to help others. The rewards are unlimited!

Do you know people who spend their days grumbling about every little thing? How about you? I’m not saying we need to run around grinning all the time, but if the bulk of your day is spent frowning, you need to change your attitude.
An attitude of gratitude is essential to maintain a happy life. I’m not just talking about being thankful for an abundance of money or a big house. Be happy for the little things we take for granted.
We should jump for joy that we can take a hot shower whenever we want to. We have closets that hold a choice of clothing. We have food in the refrigerator. Even if we don’t have Jimmy Chu’s in the closet or lobster in the fridge, we have more than many people in the world.
Feel the joy of a sunny day. Embrace the comfort of a warm blanket at night. If we stay grateful for the little things, our outlook on life brightens so we can see a better future. Keep joy in your heart for what you have, and more abundance will appear in your life!

So often we get caught up in striving for our goals. We think taking time to play is frivolous and wasteful. This is a misconception.
Taking time for play was a huge challenge for me. I used to spend leisure time worrying about other things I should be accomplishing with those hours.
One day I realized I was becoming very one-dimensional. All I could talk about was business. Small talk eluded me. Although I had always loved writing and art, I had strayed far from those pleasurable pursuits.
I started taking time (without guilt) to relax and play. I joined a walking group to get my exercise and socialize at the same time. I went to events that had nothing to do with networking. I joined my local museum. My enjoyment of life expanded exponentially and to my surprise, I was still able to accomplish the same amount of work!
I challenge you today to do one fun thing. Next week, do another. Continue to try new, relaxing adventures and expand your joy in life!
